Once payment for a service listed on this site is received, you will be automatically redirected to a Google Drive based upload form to upload your stems/tracks. For non-Google users, we recommend sending your stems/tracks to harryquinnstudio"at"gmail"dot"com via transfernow.net, dropbox.com or swisstransfer.com.

In either case please include a note of the artist/band name, song title and any notes you wish to add to aid the mix process.

File types should be 32-bit or 24-bit .wav or .aiff files at the native sample rate of your production.

The initial mix of one song will be returned within three days of payment and stem/track upload. Initial mixes of a full album will be returned within seven days.

Mixes will be delivered as 24 bit .wav files at the same sample rate as received. Other files types only on request.

Each project gets three mix revisions. This also applies to each song in an album mix project. Additional mix versions incur additional fees thereafter of £30.00 per revision.

Two additional mix versions are included as standard per song mix. Examples include: instrumental mix, a cappella mix, TV track mixes, mix up or down versions. Additional basic mix versions incur an additional fee of £10.00 per mix. Bespoke version requests please use the contact form before purchase.

Other versions like censored versions, stripped or acoustic arrangement versions are considered separate mix projects and are priced on a case by case basis. Use the contact form to enquire before purchase.

Mixed stems are provided on request and incur an additional fee of £5.00 per stem.

Mixing is the stage in between recording/production and mastering, though definitions may vary...If you have recorded your song in a studio or a bedroom and it doesn't sound "like a record" yet, probably now is about time for a mix engineer to blend all the sounds using a technically conscious and artistically appropriate perspective.

Absolutely. Reference tracks that are artistically and/or technically relevant are welcome. Note though that the mixes delivered to clients by this service will not be loudness matched to those reference tracks.

The purpose of this service is to return music mixes that are ready and suitable to be sent to a professional mastering engineer before release. Note also that mastering engineers are also the people to ask regarding CD, vinyl and metadata enquiries.

Of course note that you, the client, is the ultimate arbiter of when a song is considered done.

No. Please send 32-bit or 24-bit audio consolidated .wav or .aiff files. If you are commited to effects on your tracks inside your DAW either bounced them as they are and/or send a rough mix of your own for reference.

No. But please use discretion. Anything outlandish - please contact before purchase. 

Accidents happen, so no additional charges. But complete reworked productions incur additional fees. Please prepare your files to the best possible state before uploading.

Please still use the contact form on this site as smartphones are usually on airplane mode during recording sessions during the day. Harry checks his phone for emails roughly every hour though so urgent enquiries will be dealt with quite promptly.

A flat rate is applied to all songs as each song gets exactly the same thorough treatment.

There are two way to send mix notes. 

1. Via the Samply.app folder.*

2. Via email. (N.B. please send a consolidated collection of mix notes per round of revisions.)

3. Please avoid using the contact form on this site for mix notes.

*Procedure:

1. Click the song or song version.

2. Click the button similar to "💬 Comment".

3. Navigate to the desired part of the time using the time playback head.

4. Click the "💬" with a "+" inside it. Make/submit your comment.

A 24-bit depth .wav file at the same sample rate of your uploaded stems/tracks will be returned unless otherwise requested. Additional 16-bit or .mp3 mix versions are not recommended but are included free of charge if requested prior to song mix purchase.

A samply.app folder is the primary file delivery mechanism. Versions are listed accordingly.

Mixes and projects are archived in at least two separate mediums/locations for 3 months after final mix delivery. Thereafter, a single project folder containing all music files for the project on a single physical hard drive as a minimal safety backup - but no lifetime warranty! We recommend you backup all your own files and delivered mixes in multiple locations.

Mastering is not yet included as one of the services listed to purchase on this site as I strongly recommend seeking out a separate mastering engineer. If however you specifically want Harry to both mix and then master your song, an additional flat rate fee of £50.00 per song applies for 24-bit or 16-bit digital audio masters. DDP files for EP and album projects can be purchased for a further £30.00 fee.
